White Gums and Ramoxes: ceramics by Merric and Arthur Boyd from the Bundanon Trust Collection

10 February – 25 March 2012

This exhibition highlighted the connection between Merric Boyd, the ‘father of Australian studio pottery’, and his son Arthur Boyd, the iconic Australian artist.

Merric explored local flora and fauna, while Arthur’s ‘ramox’ was typical of his interest in metamorphosed and hybrid figures.

The ceramic works were supported by a selection of oil paintings, etchings and drawings by the artists.

A Bundanon Trust travelling exhibition curated by Grace Cochrane supported by the Gordon Darling Foundaton and Visions of Australia.
