Settled: works from the collection

3 August – 8 September 2013

Selected from the gallery’s collection, these works draw on urban, industrial or domestic themes to question the nature of place and what it means to be ‘settled’. Many of them also directly reference the Hunter region.

Included, among others, are documentary images from the gallery’s large holdings of photographs by Charles Collin, paintings by Francis Celtlan, and works on paper by Douglas Archibald and Mini Graff.

A gallery project coordinated by Meryl Ryan and Rob Cleworth.
